What to Expect from Belotero

CANDIDATES

If you struggle with age-related volume loss, dark circles under the eyes, tear trough wrinkles, folds, and deep lines, Belotero may be the answer for you. The filler is commonly injected in the forehead, under the eyes, near the cheeks, in the lips, and in other areas of the face.

Belotero works on most skin types and is recommended to only be administered on those over the age of 18. Injectable dermal fillers are commonly used to reverse signs of aging and add a youthful glow, and they can also fill certain scars.

PREPARATION

You will first have an appointment with your injector for a consultation. Here, you will discuss your skincare insecurities, concerns, and goals. The two of you will determine if Belotero is the right injectable choice for you and your treatment plan.

If so, Belotero is injected beneath the skin using a very fine needle. It immediately begins working to fill the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

This is a very minimally invasive procedure associated with little to no discomfort and is often performed without a numbing agent. If you are sensitive to needles, you may ask for topical numbing cream prior to treatment. The procedure itself lasts only minutes, and results can be seen almost immediately.

RESULTS AND RECOVERY

Once the injection treatment is complete, some report instantly seeing a change in their skin. You can expect to see optimal results two to three weeks post-treatment. Depending on the type of Belotero injection you receive, the placement of the filler, and the amount of the product used, results can last anywhere from six to twelve months.

COST

When budgeting for any cosmetic procedure, consider the varying factors for individual treatment. Many key factors play a role in the treatment’s overall cost. The amount of filler being used, the number of treatment sessions, and even the geographical location of where you are receiving injections are all considered when determining price. As with any elective cosmetic procedure, injectable fillers are not covered by insurance.
