What is PRF Gold?

PRF Gold is Aesthetic Clinique Cooper City’s trademarked service. Commonly known as Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF), PRF is a concentrated blood plasma that contains approximately 300 to 500% of the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood.

This treatment, using your own blood, is an easy, natural, safe & effective treatment in which we spin-off Platelet Rich Fibrin, and remove the red blood cells, leaving Pure PRF Gold with the highest levels of growth factors & bioactive proteins in the industry.

These Growth Factors include:

• Platelet-derived growth factor
• Transforming growth factor-beta

How is PRF Gold Different?

Our Trademarked PRF Gold utilizes a “double-centrifuge” technique that allows the active biologic factors of serum to be administered at the most effective concentration. This double processing super concentrates the Growth Factors, and in the final step, all Red Blood Cells are removed. The remaining PRF is now gold or amber in appearance. Most patients have told us that because the color of PRF is gold and not red they feel much better without “blood” all over their scalp or on their face if patients face is treated with PRF Gold.

How many treatments will I need?

If PRF Gold hair loss therapy is appropriate, we can begin your treatment at the time of your consultation.  Most patients will require 3-4 treatment sessions each about 4-6 weeks apart.  Final results are 3-4 months following your last session and follow-up treatments are then prescribed twice a year to maintain the improvement

For most patients, the procedure takes about 45-60 minutes.  While the injections and application with the DermaPen are not particularly painful, we do offer patients at a small additional charge, our ProNox System which provides a 50/50 mix of Nitric Oxide and Oxygen prior to the injections which helps to reduce discomfort & anxiety.

No two patients are exactly alike, and we may modify your treatment schedule based on your individual response to therapy.  Our staff has the expertise to know when PRF for hair loss is appropriate and the skill to inject the proper quantity of PRF at just the right depth to achieve the desired result — that skill cannot be overstated.

How Does PRF Gold Work?

So… how exactly does PRF Gold Work?  The different Growth Factors, Cytokines, & other bioactive proteins work together to stimulate the growth of follicles, thereby first arresting and then reversing hair loss with improved hair health and follicle vitality.

PRF Gold super concentration of these Growth Factors aids the body’s naturally occurring wound healing mechanism. It is also believed that PRF can actually stimulate the stem cells (dermal papilla) of the newly transplanted hair follicles.

For patients with thinning hair, alopecia, or male & female pattern baldness, PRF can be injected and applied with our Dermapen 3 into the balding scalp to potentially stimulate thin (miniaturized) hair to grow into thicker (terminal) hairs.
