The first effective non-invasive way to remove fat!
“The Cool Way to Reduce Fat” using Cryolipolysis
Now we can treat inner thighs for an “Inner Thigh Gap”
We have the newest handpiece from Coolsculpting called the Coolcurve+. This handpiece is smaller and allows for thinner people to be treated. It also opens up the opportunity to treat banana rolls and more inner thigh patients. (10/2012)
Why the new Coolsmooth Handpiece is a “Game Changer”
Please don’t confuse Zeltiq with Zerona. They are different technologies with completely different science and results! Before you ever consider Zerona, please see the Zerona reviews on Realself.comwith about a 30% satisfaction rate vs Coolsculpting’s 80% satisfaction rate. A recent article from the University of Minnesota showed that after treatment with the Zerona, physicians could correctly identify which photo was the before and which was the after only 51% of the time (a coin flip) and there was no significant change in the fat layer by ultrasound analysis.

New. The Cool Way to Reduce Fat.™
The Zeltiq Procedure is a new, non-invasive way to gently and effectively reduce fat in targeted areas of your body, resulting in noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction in the treated areas. What makes the Zeltiq™ Procedure different is its advanced cooling technology that targets and eliminates fat cells. Unlike traditional invasive surgical procedures, the Zeltiq Procedure is non-invasive, with no needles and no incisions. There is no need for anesthesia or pain medications and there is no recovery time.
Science by Massachusetts General.
Technology by Zeltiq.
The science behind the Zeltiq Procedure,
called Cryolipolysis,™ was developed by world-renowned dermatologists at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Their research showed that fat cells are naturally more vulnerable to the effects of cooling than other surrounding tissues, and that fat cells can be safely eliminated without harming the skin. This discovery led to the development of the non-invasive Zeltiq Procedure.
Cool technology. No downtime.
During the procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body. When fat cells are exposed to cooling during the Zeltiq Procedure, it triggers a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The result is a reduction in fat bulges that is visible in most patients in about two to four months. The Zeltiq Procedure is comfortable for most patients. No anesthesia and/or pain medication was needed during treatment by any patients in clinical trials.
Is the Zeltiq Procedure right for you?
Ideal candidates for the Zeltiq Procedure are relatively fit, but have some modest-size fat bulges that are not easily reduced through diet and exercise. If you are seeking spot reduction for specific areas of fat, but are not considering a surgical procedure, the Zeltiq Procedure may be right for you. It is not a way to lose weight or treat obesity, and it is not a substitute for invasive methods like liposuction. Clinical studies involving hundreds of patients show that, for properly selected patients, the Zeltiq Procedure is an effective way to reduce fat without the pain, risk, and recovery time of surgical procedures. The result is noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction in the treated areas. Provided by physicians. The procedure is performed in a medical office, under the supervision of a physician specializing in cosmetic procedures.
How does the Zeltiq™ Procedure work?
During the procedure, a non-invasive applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body. When the fat cells are exposed to cooling during the Zeltiq Procedure, triggers a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The result is a reduction in fat bulges that is visible in most patients in two to four months.
What happens to the fat cells?
The exposure to cooling causes the fat cells to begin a process of natural removal, which gradually reduces the thickness of the fat layer. The fat cells in the treated area are gently eliminated through the body’s normal metabolic processes, similar to how fat from food is eliminated. Studies during the trials have shown no increase in lipid or cholesterol levels after this procedure.
What are common post-procedure effects?
The Zeltiq Procedure is completely non-invasive, which allows immediate return to normal activities such as work or exercise. Redness may appear in the treated area, and may last from a few\ minutes to a few hours. Some localized bruising may occur, which clears within a few weeks. Many patients experience a temporary dulling of sensation in the treated area lasting one to eight weeks.
Does the Zeltiq Procedure hurt?
The Zeltiq Procedure is comfortable for most patients. No anesthesia and/or pain medication was needed during treatment in any patients in clinical trials. Typically patients are comfortable enough to read, work on their laptop computers, listen to music on headphones, or simply relax during the procedure.
How long does the procedure take?
Procedure time can be two hours or more depending on the size of the area to be treated. During your consultation, your doctor will discuss how long your procedure will take and how much time you should allow for your office visit.
Is there downtime after the procedure?
There is no recovery time after the procedure. You may resume your normal activities on the same day as your procedure, including work and exercise.
How long until I notice results?
In properly selected patients, the Zeltiq Procedure results in a noticeable, measurable reduction in fat bulges in two to four months. At that time, you and your doctor can meet to assess your cosmetic improvement and consider additional Zeltiq Procedures to achieve greater fat reduction.
What areas are currently treatable with Zeltiq?
With the current handpiece, the best areas to treat are the belly, love handles, and back. We can now treat inner thighs and arms as well.
How do the results compare with invasive procedures like liposuction?
The results of the Zeltiq Procedure are not as rapid or dramatic as invasive procedures such as liposuction. However, if you want to avoid the pain, risk, and recovery time associated with surgical procedures, the Zeltiq Procedure may be the preferred option for you.
How many treatments will I need
to see results?
Two to four months after your initial procedure, you and your doctor can meet to assess your cosmetic improvement and consider additional Zeltiq Procedures to achieve greater fat reduction.
How long do the results last?
The elimination of fat cells as a result of the Zeltiq Procedure is expected to last about
as long as fat cells removed by invasive
procedures such as liposuction. Once the fat cell is removed from the body, it won’t be replaced. However, the remaining fat cells can get bigger if proper excercise and diet are not adhered to.
Can Zeltiq be used on patients who have already had liposuction?
At The Aesthetic Clinique, we are treating several clients who have had liposution previously but want more fat removed or desire smoother contours. Because the Zeltiq, Coolsculpting, uniformly treats areas, you can smooth out irregularities from prior liposuction. We are finding this is one of the most common issues we treat.
How is the Zeltiq Procedure different from other procedures?
The controlled cooling of the Zeltiq Procedure targets and eliminates only fat cells. Other treatment modalities such as lasers, radiofrequency, and focused ultrasound affect fat cells and may affect other adjacent tissue in a way that is not comparable to the Zeltiq method of cryolipolysis.
What clinical evidence shows that the Zeltiq Procedure really works?
Clinical studies involving hundreds of patients show that, for properly selected patients, the Zeltiq Procedure is an effective way to reduce fat without pain, risk, and recovery time of surgical procedures. The result is noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction in the treated areas.
